Another Wild Winds Win for Diony

Diony reports from his win in Margarita;

“The first Margarita Wild Winds was in 1995, I was 12 years old, 17 years later I was able to celebrate my first victory after competing the past 10 years of my career! The conditions were ideal with consistent light conditions in the morning and strong winds in the afternoon for slalom and long distance!"

"The level was very high this year with 7 different Countries represented; Brasil, Argentina, Colombia, USA, France, Hungry and Venezuela. My good friend Wilhelm Shrmann from Brasil, currently ranked #1 in Formula, was strong competition and it all went down the last day, our first heat of the day I risked my start going over early, we had only 2 slalom rounds left and 1 long distance to close the event! I knew I couldn't make any more errors, to win I had to win all! that's exactly what I did keeping in track, I am super happy in winning the Margarita Wild Winds this year! Thanks for the support of my family and to all my sponsors, Nestea, AHD boards and Hot Sails Maui”

Diony Guadagnino

We were trying for months to plan a trip to Hawaii with Gerhard Weil (TEAM NESTEA). In Hawaii waiting for us the legend of Puerto Cabello, gasper the ghost who has been away from Venezuela for so long! living in Hawaii for the past 20 years! Marcos Lozada! we began our journey starting from Caracas (pictured on the right) to the island of Maui when Gerhard picked me up at the Maiquetia Airport to connect to our international flight, we traveled on his scooter for about 1 km down the main street to the International Terminal, ajaja'

Were 7 intense days here in Maui working from morning to night touring the entire island seeking the best conditions! Taking pictures and videos for the Venezuelan media and for some other Latin countries to support the Venezuelan talent to continue harvesting new future champions of our country!

At the end of all, this is what life is all about, forgetting the material and the world problems! this is the greatest wealth that a being can have, to share in harmony, the memories of having to live life close to nature is what fills our souls indeed!
Our goal is to seek support in Venezuela in order to bring these local groms most prominent and train them here in Hawaii, the big leagues of Windsurfing and Surfing!
Thanks to Marco Lozada that basically gave us all his help here on Maui, we would not have done without all this possible!

Here are some pictures of our trip with Marcos Lozada, Gerhard Weil,  Kisbeth and Kekoa Hune Mene Weil.

Muchas Gracias and many thanks for the support!

Another win for Diony Day & Night Slalom

English:
The event in Puerto La Cruz was always my favorite since the first time
I participated 2 years ago! With a professional organization and also the competition
Area and the beach of Lecheria is spectacular, with choppy waters and medium winds,
I felt good in these conditions! The best part of the event by far was the night slalom, full adrenaline
And great energy between the competitors and spectators! I'm very pleased winning both disciplines
Of 10 slalom rounds and the night slalom which was something new for everyone!

Espanol:

Fresh new doors I just made

I am not a carpenter but I'm surely learning and love to do these kind of projects, especially if there for yourself!

Diony & Miguelito mastered the COPA ONA

After arriving from Morocco a few days ago, 48 hours to return to Venezuela they confirmed the 2nd year of the ONA Competition in Cumana Main Land, ONA means department anti drugs of Venezuela in Spanish, they are supporting lot's of sport events the last couple of years and educating kids to NOT do drugs and alcohol, the event was held this Carnival weekend, Slalom and Long Distance where the categories!
With light winds from 9-13 knots the first day and 12-16 knots the second day I secured my 1st place in Slalom pro, at the end of the afternoon on the last day the race comity decided to lunch the long distance race crossing with not much time of light left the Cariaco Golf and back to the beach, it took 18 minutes, after the long distance in Morocco I felt comfortable doing this crossing and taking the 1st place also.
It was also wonderful to see so many people participating from different States, even Falcon State which is right next to Colombia, I saw many kids full motivated and inspired especially with the presence of Miguelito Bruggeman who won Junior slalom and 1st place also in the long distance Junior and Sport category! During the two days of the event it was incredible to see how all the kids surrounded him 24hthis is the way we go to keep pushing new talents in Venezuela and the World!

1st PLACE LONG DISTANCE 90KM DAKLHA, MOROCCO

ENGLISH:

Long distance was a hard core, first time I have sailed full power for about 3 hours on my 8.0, it was just like doing a slalom heat but for 3 hours straight! I really couldn't even hold on the the boom any more at the end! the view from the lagoon was amazing!! it was a great and fun challenge!

ESPANOL:
